Personal
My name is Hisham Mardam Bey, and I go by the alias CodeWarrior (or codito when the first one is taken). I was born on April 7th 1981 in Beirut, Lebanon and have moved to Montreal (QC), Canada in August 2007.
Work
I currently work for Mate1 Inc as a senior software engineer / lead architect. We work on large scale apps, and, its a *nix friendly environment!
Code
When I'm not working, I'm usually working on C and Ruby code. I am part of the Enlightenment project and I am involved in a lot of the action going on there. I also enjoy writing Ruby, and I've done some work on Mono's C# implementation.
Sports
If I'm not working and I'm not coding, I like going
down to the gym. I've been seriously working out on a daily basis since October 2005. I used to train on an on / off basis before that, but I seriously committed myself to body building at that date. Maybe you'll see me on the cover of a magazine some day. (=
Computers
I do most of my work on my laptop and desktop running FreeBSD, Gentoo, OSX, and XP (for those times I decide to play Warcraft III and other Blizzard games). I've been a Linux and open source enthusiast since around 1996/1997 and I enjoy coordinating the local
LUG here in Lebanon.
Fun
When I do manage to find some free time, I enjoy watching Anime and playing some Playstation 3 games.
